My sympathy to all of Dee''s family. Your mother and father were so very helpful to me when my mother needed to sell her home quicklyafter she became ill and entered a full care facility. I am forever grateful to them for their real estate expertise, but most of all for thekindness, understanding and consideration they afforded us. Over the years, I would keep up with Dee through Mary Ellen Logan. I know they shared many happy occasions together. Dee was blessed to have Mary Ellen with her on Friday and Mary Ellen was blessed to have shared that time with her.

My sincere sympathy to you and all in the Allen family. What a shock to read about your mother as I spoke with her this past Christmas and received a lovely card from her with holiday wishes. As we acquire wisdow through age, I realize how the time on this Planet is so precious and those we know and love add joy to the journey. Knowing your mother, dad, yourself and your family is a gift for sharing time with all of you. Many blessings to you and all in the Allen family. Thank you......

On behalf of the Class of 1977 at the University of Notre Dame, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother to our classmate Susan, and to all of the Allen family. "A mother holds her children's hands for but a little while, their hearts she holds forever." May she rest now in peace in the arms of a loving and merciful God. A candle has been lit in memory of Dorothy Powenski Allen at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes at the University of Notre Dame.
