I am so sorry for your deep loss. She fought a grand fight, and there were times when it looked like she was going to win it. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Koleszar Famly,

Your wife and mother was one of the brightest women I have met.  She helped me on many occasions to choose natural remedies for my health care and encouraged me to take charge of my care.  She was thoughtful, thorough, and very knowledgeable.  Such a bright light has dimmed, my deepest sympathies.

I am so sad to hear of Carolen''s passing.  I was a client of hers for about five years and felt that she gave me so much guidance and good advice.  Her still as a naturopath is just how one would imagine - honest, compassionate, gentle and caring.

I worked with Carolen for about 5 years. She really helped me and she was always very kind. She would answer all my questions with a smile on her face. I know she will be missed by her family and patients.

The world has lost a vibrant, intelligent, and compassionate being.  I will always remember Carolen as a kind mentor to me, allowing me to "shadow" her in her natural health practice.  She taught me so much.  My deepest sympathy goes to Carolen''s family and friends.  She will be missed.

Losing Carolen is like losing a huge part of my spirit self. We did not have decades together but were so close the years we did get to spend. Carolen always made me feel a part of her family and I love her so much. One of my favorite things about Carolen was her grace. She was smart and confident and very sure of her knowledge(with good reason). On a few occassions I had an opportunity to challenge her, she was always disarmingly delighted to be wrong about a subject. This was an opportunity for her to learn not some battle of wills or one up-man-ship. She was truely amazing and will be missed.

Carolen was a good friend, an encouraging mentor, and an excellent nurse practitioner. I, too, am a family nurse practitioner and first met Carolen while orienting her in a local clinic. She was warm and gentle and we quickly developed a close bond. As I developed my own independent practice, she was a great source of information and encouragement. I had some medical problems this past spring and came to her practice for an evaluation. She was thorough as she gathered information and examined me. She and I discussed options together and came up with a plan that would work for me. I'm sure every patient who saw her had a similar experience and came to trust and care for her as I did. She will be greatly missed. My sincere prayers are with you. We can "cast our cares upon Him, for He careth for you." I Peter 5:7

Hebrews 13:2 reads:  "DO NOT FORGET TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS, FOR BY SO DOING SOME PEOPLE HAVE ENTERTAINED ANGELS WITHOUT KNOWING IT." NIV    This scripture best describes my Friend and Sister in Christ.  If ever there was the love and light of Jesus Christ seen in an individual, anyone who has ever been touched by Carolen has experienced it.  The unconditional love and full body of gifts from God possessed by Carolen was truly wonderous. The things I speak of are not just my thoughts, they are experiences I witnessed as she lived her life.  She loved and cared for her entire family and yet she did not miss a beat in careing for Gods people.  Do not fret, she is in your heart.
Corinthians 5:8 "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

I first met Carolen 12 years ago at Health4Everyone and she changed my outlook on life and got me on the right path to personal health.  Through a dream about 5 months ago I was lead to her again for health issues.  Her compassion, dedication and knowledge had inspired me once again.  I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing but happy to know her life will be celebrated.  My prayers go out to her family and children.  She was an amazing soul.

My sincere sympathy to family, friends, and fellow clients of Carolen. She will be missed. Carolen described me as her most recovered patient after a 1992 heart attack. Joyce and I have depended on her care and guidance for many years. Our health is a testimony to her service. May god bless.

I met Carolen as a graduate student in the research course that I taught at Otterbein. She was an inquisitive and creative person and passionate about nursing. I asked her to be a clinical instructor for beginning sophomore nursing students in a course I taught. She did this over several years with great care and concern for her students. Over the years, I enjoyed the times she stopped in my office to talk about students and nursing. I miss her intensity and care that she brought to every interaction, and it was a privilege to know Carolen for these few years.
